Did you know that if you type in “Resume Writer” on LinkedIn, you will find 996,504 results?

If you filter further and search “Executive Resume Writer”, you will find over 17,000 results.

When it comes to finding the best resume writing service for executives, it can seem a bit overwhelming.

Luckily, we have taken all the hard work of researching top resume companies and narrowed it down to a short and concise list of 10. We’ve also included a bonus list of the 10 worst companies that executives should avoid (see below).

Last year, we created a rating system which takes into consideration a variety of factors; price, timeliness, resume design, customer service, writer qualifications, etc.

Together, we have accumulated what we believe to be the top 10 resume writing services for executives in 2019. Check out the Top 10 Resume Writing Services for Executives in 2018.

The resume writing industry is small and tight-knit. Some companies on this list may be considered partner/affiliates. However, this in no way has affected the integrity of the rankings provided.

Price: The cost of the service when compared with the other services.

Timeliness: The speed at which the resume is completed.

Resume Design: The design, style and overall look of the resume.

Customer Service: Guarantees, number of edits and website user-friendliness.

Writer Qualifications: Qualifications required to write for said company.

1. Find My Profession - 9.8

Find My Profession has earned its place at the very top of our list receiving the gold medal for the second year in a row. According to our research, Find My Profession holds its rank as the greatest resume writing service for executives in 2019. Not only is the cost the most competitive you will find for the quality, but they also have a very reasonable turnaround time.

You can feel confident in your purchase knowing that Find My Profession offers a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee resulting in unlimited edits. You really can’t go wrong.

Pros: Find My Profession is the most reasonably priced resume writing service with a focus on executives and C-Suite professionals. 100% of their writers must take and pass the Certified Professional Resume (CPRW) exam and receive their certification. The website is also very aesthetically appealing and easy to navigate.

Cons: The turnaround time is ~7 business days. While this is nowhere near the longest turnaround time, there are companies that offer shorter turnarounds.

Timeline: ~7 business days

Price: $649

2. Great Resumes Fast - 9.5

Great Resumes Fast is hands down one of the best executive resume companies in 2019. With a 99% success rate, it’s no wonder Great Resumes Fast has been featured in Forbes, Time, Money, Fortune, HuffPost, Fast Company, and other major publications.

The quality of service does not get much higher than GRF, and staying extremely competitive with the pricing, they have earned their spot as the #2 resume service in 2019.

Pros: Great Resumes Fast is well-priced, offers one of the faster delivery times on the market, and is a highly credible and well-rounded company.

Cons: Great Resumes Fast does not seem to require all their writers to be certified.

Timeline: ~5 business days

Price: $695

3. The Writing Guru – 8.8

The Writing Guru has climbed the ranks coming from #5 on our list in 2018 to #3 on the list for 2019. Why? The Writing Guru does one thing better than almost every other resume writing service. They take a great deal of time to speak with you and understand your situation.

If you are in a highly technical role that is not straightforward at all, this service might be perfect for you. While remaining competitively priced, Wendi Weiner – Founder, personally spends an average of 15-20 hours with each client throughout the resume writing process.

Pros: The Writing Guru, from what we gathered, invests the most 1-on-1 time (15-20 hours) with each client to craft a high-quality custom executive resume.

Cons: The price range is a bit mysterious and requires a consultation to receive a quote. Depending on what price you are quoted, this could either be a very cost-effective solution or not. Also, if you do not have 15-20 hours to personally commit to working on your resume, this could be a problem.

Timeline: 10-15 business days

Price: $1295-$2695

4. An Expert Resume – 8.5

An Expert Resume is known to provide a top-notch resume fit for an executive. This company was able to move up on their list due to an extreme makeover that they have done on their website since 2018. It looks about 100x better and is much easier to navigate and find what you are looking for.

An Expert Resumes' CEO and Founder, Laura Smith-Proulx has been honored in the global resume industry for ~11 years accumulating ~32 total resume honors & awards from 2007-2019.

Pros: Hiring An Expert Resume means that you will be working directly with Luara. She is a very experienced resume writer who has won a ton of rewards. Laura Smith-Proulx is very credible, trustworthy, and well known in the industry.

Cons: Since our last article, this company has lowered their cost a bit, and completely made over their website. Aside from those cons which are no longer relevant, the price and turnaround time is still a bit more than the average person wants to pay for just a resume.

Timeline: 10-15 business days

Price: $1597-$1797

5. Mary Elizabeth Bradford – 8.1

Mary Elizabeth Bradford has been in the business of writing resumes since before it was cool. In 2008, Mary Elizabeth Bradford was voted a Forbes Top 100 Career Website and has received multiple rewards and recognition for their resume writing services.

The founder, Mary Elizabeth Bradford has a focus on 6 and 7-figure earners and comes from a background of HR and recruiting.

Pros: Mary Elizabeth Bradford holds many certifications within the resume writing community. She has been in the business for many years and from the looks of it, when you retain this service, you will be getting Mary herself to write the resume (I would contact this service to confirm this).

Cons: There were a few cons that really stuck out to us while doing our research. For one, it looks like the website has not been updated since the company began in 2008. It is a bit crowded and difficult to navigate. You have to scroll past some $10,000+ services before finding the actual resume cost. Lastly, it’s possible that having been in the industry for so many years, some of the trends and practices are a bit dated.

Timeline: Since there was not much information on the site, we believe that the average turnaround time is anywhere from 10-20 business days.

Price: $2,297
