Our Humble Beginnings
In 2015, in a small Bay Area apartment, CEO & Founder Mike Podesto decided it was time to find a new job. Commuting 90 minutes a day and working 50+ hours a week as an IT recruiter made finding time to job search difficult. He wondered, “Can I just pay someone to find me a job?” After countless hours searching online for companies that could help, Mike saw a need, and Find My Profession was born.
You can hire someone to do your taxes, navigate legal issues, or fix your car, it only makes sense that you can hire someone to manage your job search. Find My Profession is the first and only company of its kind to offer fully managed job search services. You’ll be paired up with a reverse recruiter who will find you jobs that meet your criteria, fill out job applications, and network with key decision makers on your behalf to land you interviews.

Coaching

4-Week Program
Receive one-on-one coaching covering the most important aspects of a career transition. Each week we’ll schedule a 90-minute video call to train you on a new topic. The four topics we cover are job searching, job applying, networking, and interview training. The goal of this 4-week program is to make you an expert in the art of job hunting. Your dedicated coach will also be available to message with you throughout the week in between training sessions.
Standard

Friday Job Search
Following an onboarding call with your reverse recruiter, we will determine which Friday will be your launch date to begin the process. Every Friday, your dedicated reverse recruiter will identify jobs that they believe you will be interested in. These jobs are added to your online profile for your review. We ask that you approve or reject each job with detailed notes before Monday so that we can get to work right away.

Monday Job Applications
On Monday, your reverse recruiter will spend the day filling out job applications for each of the jobs that you have approved over the weekend. More often than not, we are making minor tweaks to your resume for each job application that we submit. We’ll attach a copy of the customized resume that we use for each job in your profile. Our goal is to have 3-5 job applications submitted every Monday.

Tuesday-Thursday Networking
We believe networking is the most important part of job searching. Our approach is very much about quality > quantity. That’s why your reverse recruiter dedicates three days each week towards networking. Our networking is tailored towards the individual but you can typically expect a blend of the following:

- Target company networking
- Location specific networking

Weekly Interview Prep & More
In addition to everything included in “Standard”, you’ll receive a faster launch date and be paired with one of our most senior reverse recruiters. Premium clients also receive job specific interview tips, one-on-one mock interview training, and salary negotiation advice upon request. If we could, we would show up to the interview for you, but unfortunately that’s frowned upon by most hiring managers.
