8. Change a Setting on Your Linkedin Profile
Go to your LinkedIn account and change the setting that lets recruiters know you are open to opportunities. It is a subtle change and you can always plead ignorance if someone in your company finds out you did this. For example, if they find out just say, “LinkedIn? I barely use it. Let me change that setting. I had no idea that was happening.”

Packing information into large paragraphs makes it very hard to understand what you had achieved or what you do best. Use bullet points for achievements and plenty of white-space to separate the information. They do it for job descriptions, too, and so should you.

In the experience section, list out the companies you worked with, job duties, job titles, and most importantly, your accomplishments. 2. Optimize All Sections With Keywords
Your headline, summary, and experience should all contain the keywords related to the type of jobs you hope to be contacted for while job searching. A good way to do this is to take any job description from an online job listing and use the words the job description uses when describing yourself in a comprehensive manner.
A bad way to do this is to take a list of popular industry words and paste them into your sections. It makes your resume hard to read and it looks like a deliberate and poor attempt to manipulate search results (ie. makes you look clueless).

Connect with others in your industry. Do not just connect with everyone. Reach out to recruiters and try to connect with more than 500+ people, which is the largest number LinkedIn shows on your profile. You are showing recruiters that you are willing to do the work to get noticed.
You can still write recommendations, change your URL to make you more “search-friendly”, and much more, without ever being spotted as someone trying to leave his or her current job.
